Auto45 Nigeria (“Auto45”, “we”, “us”) operates Auto45.ng and the Auto45 mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our automotive marketplace, escrow, financing, auctions, and related services in Nigeria.

1. Information we collect

Account data: name, email, phone number, password hash, and profile details you provide.
Transaction data: orders, listings, escrow status, wallet activity, and payment references (we do not store full card numbers).
Vehicle data: VIN/chassis numbers, inspection results, photos, and appraisal details you submit.
Usage data: pages viewed, app events, IP address, device type, and approximate location derived from network signals.
Support content: messages, tickets, and attachments you send to support.

2. How we use information

To create and secure your account, process marketplace and escrow transactions, and arrange logistics.
To verify inventory, run inspections, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
To send transactional notices (orders, escrow, security alerts) and, with your consent where required, product updates.
To improve the website, apps, and customer experience, including analytics and troubleshooting.

3. Sharing

We share data only as needed with payment processors, logistics partners, dealers/technicians you interact with, fraud-prevention tools, and when required by Nigerian law or a valid legal process. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Retention & security

We keep data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, dispute, and fraud-prevention purposes. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

5. Your choices

6. Children

Auto45 services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
