I’m putting this 2003 Caterpillar 315CL excavator up for sale. It’s in pretty good shape, foreign used, but it’s been well-maintained. So, it’s got a Cat C4.4 engine, which has always given me plenty of power. I’ve found that it’s really reliable for digging, and it’s got a hydraulic final drive. It’s got a 14-foot-3-inch digging depth, which is pretty good for the size, and a 16.9-gallon fuel tank.I mostly used it for smaller jobs around the yard, so it hasn’t been driven too hard. It’s got buckets, hammers, and grapples, so it’s versatile.The operating weight is 15,500 pounds and it’s got a 0.5 to 1 cubic meter bucket capacity.

To be fair, it’s a solid machine. I’ve kept up with all the regular maintenance and it’s always been reliable. It’s a good workhorse, perfect for someone who needs a reliable excavator.
