I’m putting my 1992 caterpillar 966C payloader up for sale. It’s a solid machine, though. It’s got a powerful C9.3 ACERT engine, and it’s got a good 20,000-22,000 lbs operating weight, so it’s got the heft to handle the job. It’s got a 3.5-4.0 cyd bucket,which is a good size for most jobs. The transmission is a power shift, which is smooth and easy to use. It’s got a 60-gallon fuel tank, so you won’t be stopping for gas every hour.
The tires are in good shape, L-3 20.5-25s. The hydraulic system is top-notch, and the cab is pleasant with good visibility and controls.I’ve kept up with the maintenance, and it’s ready to go. it’s been used in construction and other industries, and it’s a tough machine.
