I’m selling my 1996-2003 Volkswagen Transporter.It’s been a great workhorse for me, but I’ve got other plans now, and it deserves a new home. It’s got various petrol and diesel engines,and a choice of 5-speed manual or automatic transmissions.You can fit up to nine passengers in it, and the cargo space is pretty generous. The dimensions are 4,890 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, and 1,950 mm tall. It’s got a reasonable fuel economy too. FWD and AWD options were available.
It’s got self-reliant front and rear suspension,and all the safety features you’d expect,like airbags,ABS,and stability control. Ther are lots of customization options too so you can make it your own. It’s got sliding side doors and big rear doors for easy loading. The low loading height is just 515 mm which is pretty handy. The interior is a bit basic but it’s got good ergonomics with plenty of headroom and legroom; the steering wheel is adjustable.

Now the engine options are a bit engaging. You’ve got a 1.9-liter diesel which was standard in 1996 and a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that came in later with two different horsepower options: 88 hp or 102 hp. Both are a bit underpowered by today’s standards but they were pretty reliable back then with torque of 184 lb-ft at 1900 RPM. It handles pretty well too; it absorbs bumps effectively with minimal body roll while power steering makes it easy to maneuver.
